Freedom, independence, and equality are absolute values, and there can be no compromise here. Independence is a necessary condition for the existence of a nation. Only it truly guarantees the right of people to have their own language, history and culture. Freedom also allows people to look into the future, to set goals, to feel responsible for their own decisions and those of their community, province, region, country.   In a world, where individual nations and nationalities live in oppression and discrimination, there can be no balance. How can we talk about the triumph of democratic values in the 21st century, if right now the most real imperial colonialism is flourishing? Today's Russia with its tyrannical power is not only a prison of peoples, denying them the right to self-determination. It is a real colonizer, siphoning off both productive and human resources from its colonies. We no longer want to be an appendage of Moscow, nor do we want to be an appendage of Russia. Each of the peoples represented in the Organization has lived through several centuries of history of oppression, humiliation, and extermination by the Russian Empire in all its manifestations. We do not believe that a change of power in the Russian Federation will change anything for us. We believe that we deserve freedom and independence. And we will fight for it, realizing our right to self-determination. We call on the entire free world to support us in our struggle!
